The Human Functional Genomics Group (IFGG) is an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to elucidating the biological functions and phenotypic consequences of genetic variation within the human genome. The group adopts a functional and causal perspective on genotype–phenotype relationships, with a particular focus on human phenotypes such as athletic performance, neurological functions, and nutritional and metabolic responses within the framework of gene–environment interactions. IFGG aims to contribute to the fields of personalized biology and applied human genomics through functional genetic and genomic approaches.
